IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kelton Lee
Polk
October 5, 1945 – July 12, 2025
Kelton Polk was a man of many talents—driven by hard work, loyalty, and a relentless entrepreneurial spirit. Kelton met Rhonda in 1976 at the St. Anthony Alcoholic Ward. She had gone with his cousin to visit him. They were married six weeks later. At that time, he was running a printing press at Southwestern Stationery, where he dedicated twelve years of his life. During this time, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Regina, in 1977. He later joined Henry McGrew Printing Company to support a close friend, serving as Foreman for nearly a decade.
In what some might call a mid-life crisis—but what Kelton would likely call a bold adventure—he began selling 14k gold jewelry at a local flea market on weekends. With his magnetic personality and ability to connect with anyone, he found success and eventually purchased and operated Penn Jeweler's for several years.
Never one to stand still, Kelton ventured into telecommunications in 2004, purchasing Hi-Tech Phones and relocating it to 1605 N. Rockwell Avenue, where he successfully ran the business for many years.
Kelton was the kind of man who loved being at the center of everything. He had a big personality, an even bigger heart, and left an impression wherever he went. Like many, he faced personal struggles—especially with alcohol. But after a year-long stay in rehab, he made a remarkable turn. He became active in Alcoholics Anonymous and eventually served as a counselor, offering guidance and hope to others battling addiction. His recovery journey led him to form deep, meaningful friendships with people who truly loved him—and whom he loved in return.
During this time, Kelton also found joy and freedom in motorcycles. Riding became his passion. He shared the road with his brother Mark and sister-in-law Darla, took countless trips with friends and family, and created lasting memories. Among his closest companions was his longtime friend Tony Craig, whose friendship remained a constant source of strength and camaraderie through the years.
Kelton was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Goff; his Granny McDonald; his father, Homer Polk; his Granny Polk; and his brothers, Douglas and Mark Polk.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Jason Fort of Yukon; his granddaughters, Kyleigh and Marlee; his son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Michelle Polk of Austin; and his granddaughter, Ashana. He also leaves behind a wide and cherished network of friends who will always remember his humor, resilience, and unwavering spirit.
Kelton will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
