Ken Leroy Barker entered the gates of Heaven on July 17, 2011 at the age of 67. He was born Jan. 14, 1944 in Erick, OK to Lloyd & Willie Barker. Ken honorably served his country in the US Army. On March 4, 1966 he married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Dahlenburg & together shared more than 45 years of marriage & raising a family. He provided a warm & loving home for his family by working as a truck driver for Townley Dairy for 18 years & Scrivner for 11 years. He was a loving husband & devoted father who will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Barker, and step-father, Clarence Lord. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Barker; mother, Willie Barker Lord of Sayre, OK; daughters: Tiffany Barker of Moore, OK, & Cindy Castleberry & husband, Randy of Longview, TX; brother, Garry Barker & wife, Judy of Erick, OK; niece, Nicole Shattuck & husband, Nathan & daughters, McKinzi & Riley of Elk City, OK; step-sister, Janice Lawrence & husband Don & their sons, of Kingfisher, OK; & a host of extended family & friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to Nazih Zuhdi Heart Transplant physicians & staff; Healthback Home Care of Norman; & Southwest Dialysis Center; & family & friends. Viewing will be 4-8 PM Wed. & Thurs. with the family greeting friends on Thursday from 6-8 PM at Vondel Smith South Lakes. Services will be 10 AM Friday, July 22, 2011 at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S. Penn with interment following at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman.
