Larry G. Akridge, 75, passed away Sept. 2, 2011. Larry was born Aug. 16, 1936 in Elk City, OK to Claude Akridge and Jennie B. (Spencer) Mullin. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force for 8 years. Larry faithfully attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Disciple Classes. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Dana Wenthold.

Survivors include:

his wife, Carlene Akridge;

son, Mark Akridge and wife Christie;

daughters, Melanie Sweeney and husband Mike,

and Renae Romans;

grandchildren, Kalee Dimmick and husband Chad, Ryan Wenthold, Hannah and Emily Akridge, and Kate Sweeney; brother, Claude Akridge and wife Shirley;

and mother-in-law, Edith Melvin.
