IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Larry Earl
Ferren
July 2, 1963 – August 28, 2024
Larry went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday August 28, 2024 at the age of 61. Larry is the son of Earl Ferren, Jr. & Dorothy Ferren (Bishop) and identical twin of Garry Lee Ferren. He was born July 2, 1963, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Larry was raised in south OKC and graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1981.
One of Larry's first jobs was working for CR Anthony's in retail sales. After leaving C. R. Anthony's, Larry began specializing in men's clothing while working for Universal Fashions. Larry's salesmanship and loyal clientele ultimately led to him opening his own store, Hunter's Menswear. After Hunter's Menswear, Larry worked for Fox Building Supply where the Dickie's Workwear Sales Rep recruited him to go to work for Williamson Dickie's. This union started Larry's very successful career in wholesale clothing as a Sales Rep, Regional VP, and Sales Management, etc. for not only Dickie's but later for Key Industries and lastly for CID Manufacturing. Larry was well known throughout the industry for his ability to sell anything to anyone anywhere. He maximized the gift he had to sell into a successful and long-lasting career that gave him and his family the opportunity to reside in Mississippi and Texas and then ultimately land back here in Oklahoma where it all began.
Larry was a lifelong OU Football fan. He loved pre-gaming on campus and watching all the games. He loved music of many genres and was always happy listening to his favorite music of the moment and wanted you to listen, as well. No really, he insists. Lol. Larry never met a stranger and will always be remembered for his outgoing, friendly, caring, will give you "the shirt off his back" spirit. He loved joking and telling his stories however many times you'd listen. No really, listen to it again. He insists. Lol!! To know him was to love him.
Larry had the deepest love for his children. There was literally nothing more important to Larry than Chase and Emily. They were, in his eyes, the greatest thing he ever did. He was the best of providers for his family, a constant source of support and love in any and all endeavors. He and Tammy had a long and loving marriage of 39 years that produced not only Chase and Emily, but many years of happiness, fun, and love. His identical twin, Garry, was the other side of his coin, bonded through blood and identical DNA a part of each other forever. He will be always remembered for his love of all his family and so many close and lifelong friends that were like brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his:
