IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lavenia
Pitts
April 13, 1941 – August 29, 2015
Our beloved Ann was born in Parker County, TX on April 13, 1941 to Clyde and Nina Morton. She departed this life on August 30, 2015 in OKC, OK. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and a dear friend to many people throughout the U.S. and some as far away as Israel, Thailand, & Indonesia. She was a faithful servant of the Lord through His church as a member, and as a leader in the Women's ministry and Bible study groups. She traveled across U.S. ministering to college students for nine years while serving with her husband at Manhattan Christian College of Kansas. In her 70's, she served as a faithful pastor's wife as her husband, Jerry, served the First Christian Church in Jones, OK. She was a great encouragement to Jerry often saying say, "I work as hard as you do when you are preaching because I am constantly praying for you." One of her favorite places to visit in Israel was the Sea of Galilee because she knew "that's where Jesus walked." Now she is walking with Jesus personally. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Nina Morton. She is survived by her husband Jerry, her son Brian, daughter-in-law Leah, grandchildren Aaron & Kaitlin, daughter Tonya and son-in-law Brent Avery. She is also survived by her extended family Jerry Pitts, Karen Hughes & Cindy Pitts. We mourn her passing from this life, but celebrate her homecoming in Heaven
