IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lavonne
Hilley
November 22, 1930 – January 21, 2023
Lavonne Hilley passed from this life on Saturday, January 21, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 92. The daughter of Clarence Lee and Mary Louise (Purvis) Davis, was born on November 22, 1930 in Littlefield, Texas. Lavonne attended Sweetwater Public Schools where she enjoyed and excelled playing basketball. On December 31, 1949 in Sayre, Oklahoma, Lavonne married her sweetheart, Elmo "Wayne" Hilley, and to this union, they were blessed with a son, Ron, whom they loved dearly and was their pride and joy. In 1972, the Hilley family moved to Oklahoma City and have resided ever since. Lavonne started her career at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company on the night shift as a switchboard operator and quickly moved into administration and retired after 33 years of dedicated service. Lavonne spent her time doing what she loved, cooking for her family, being the best "Mema" and spending time with her grandkids. We will miss Lavonne's presence here on earth each day, but we rejoice in knowing she is at peace.
