Lee William Ahlfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 87. The son of Mary (Jackson) and Jerome Ahlfield, Lee was born on June 30, 1935 in Olney, Illinois. Lee joined the United States Army and honorably served his country for 24 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his military service, Lee served overseas in Thailand, Germany and a combat tour of duty in Vietnam. After retiring from the US Army, Lee worked for Brown & Root Construction Company and later for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company from which he subsequently retired from. He will be deeply missed. Lee was preceded in death by his son, Ricky; wife, Donna; parents; sister, Della & brother, Johnny. Lee is survived by his sons: Danny & Stephen Ahlfield; Sister, Julia; and his Grandsons: Jerry, Jensen and Henry Ahlfield. No viewing or visitation. Private family service with military honors will be held at a later date.
