Obituary

Lenora Peak "Scottie" Scott went to be with her Lord on July 9, 2010. She was Born Oct. 6, 1912, in Wetumka, OK to Mr. and Mrs. Omer Peak, who preceded her in death. Her family moved to OKC in 1930. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 47 ½ years, C.W. Scott; 6 brothers; 1 sister. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and one great great great nephew. Lenora was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and spent 77 years in the Capitol Hill Community. She was past matron of Harmony Chapter #371 of O.E.S.; member Amaranth Court #8; Adorman Temple #95, Daughter of the Nile, member of the Fraternal Order of the Police Auxiliary #123, and retired Police Officer Assn; among other organizations. She received a Certificate of Appreciation from OKC Police Dept. in 1979 for Community Support of Law Enforcement. In 1958, she organized the Musical Notes Funeral Team consisting of past-matrons throughout OKC. We all cherish our association and laughs with her.
