Services to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM Fri, May 29, 2015 at Saint Ann Retirement Center, 7501 W. Britton Rd. with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, OK.

Leymond, 92, was called to his Heavenly home on May 25, 2015. He was born June 5, 1922 in Okla. City, OK to Leymond Lee Roy & Victoria Marie (Bradshaw) Bowlby. Leymond married E. Jacqueline Kelley on April 17, 1949. He proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army Corps of Engineers. He was in the Battle of Normandy & Rhineland. Leymond received a BA degree from Okla. City University with a major in English & Journalism, followed by a Master's Degree in Education & a PhD in Linguistics from Pacific Western University of Los Angeles, CA. He worked for the OKC Public School System as an Audio Visual Consultant & Film Librarian & as a Language Translator in Tuttle 1987 – circa 2000. He authored/edited various education materials, aphorisms & epigrams. He turned his hobbies in horticulture & farming into the ownership of Trees & Things in Tuttle, OK. Leymond was listed in the Who's Who in the World as a linguist & translator, Translator Disorder & Early Sorrow, Decorated French Liberation Medals; member of the National Coalition of Independent Scholars & the American Literature Translators Assn. Preceded in death by his parents; he is survived by his children, Linda Ley Bowlby of Evansville, IN & Victoria Lynn Alley of OKC; grandchildren, Jon & Monica Godsey of Norman, OK, Julie Wagoner of OKC, Dayna Niederschuh of Charlotte, NC, Brian &

Brooklyn Workman of Yukon, OK, & Ryan & Danette Romines of Evansville, IN; 12 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; nieces & nephews, Steve & Jessa Easton, Kathy & Kaskey Estlinbaum & Teresa & Jimmy Reed; extended family, Jane Meyer, Dale & Cindy Cedar, & Crystal Beck; & numerous friends.
