Lovie Peeples, 88, died Monday July 16, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Meeker, Oklahoma to Rezin Eggleston and Lottie Pearl (Haggy) Lackey on December 21, 1923. Lovie attended Wilmont Place Baptist Church. She loved many things in life including going to Church and Sunday School, reading her Bible, playing the piano, and listening to music. In addition to being active in Church when she was able, Lovie had been a member of the Women's Missionary Union and The Order Of The Eastern Star. Earlier in life Lovie worked for the Oklahoma League For The Blind where she made books using a braille machine. She had an interest in legal matters and at one time, owned Real Estate. Lovie stated that she would have liked to have become an attorney if she had her vision. Being of Dutch descent Lovie had a great interest in genealogy and could trace her heritage back to the 1600's. Lovie was still as active as her health would allow. Even last week Lovie went to the "Lunch Bunch" at the Senior Nutrition Center, an activity she dearly enjoyed. Family was very important to Lovie and she loved them all including her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her extended family.
