Linda was born in Oklahoma City, OK on August 4, 1949 to Sylvester and Agnes Schumacher. She attended elementary and Jr. High at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Linda was a cheerleader in high school and was very popular amongst her peers. She graduated from Mount Saint Mary High School in 1967.
Linda married the love of her life, Mike Cassady, on February 15, 1974. They were blessed with a daughter Shana. Linda loved her family dearly and was a wonderful wife and mother.
In the late 60’s, Linda began working for Kerr-Mcgee. She started as a clerk and eventually became the head of Benefits Administration in the Human Resources Department. In 1989, she retired from Kerr-Mcgee. After 20 years, she was ready for a break, but soon after became a licensed esthetician and massage therapist. She worked as a massage therapist at the Renaissance hotel in Downtown OKC for nearly 5 years. She enjoyed her time with Kerr-Mcgee and as a massage therapist and made a lot of unforgettable memories over the years.
Linda had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening at home in her spare time. She was proud of her roses and hibiscus plants. Linda and Mike traveled often and also enjoyed sailing together out at Lake Hefner when time allowed.
Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones but her memory will live on through the lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Sylvester and Agnes Schumacher; Brother, Chris Schumacher.
Linda is survived by her Husband Mike of 52 years; Daughter, Shana Whitmill and husband TJ; 4 Sisters; 2 Brothers; 4 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren (with another on the way; As well as many nieces, nephews, and extended loving family and friends.
