Linda Kay (Smith) Dawson went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, April 2, 2026.
Linda was born on July 9, 1949, in Clinton, Oklahoma, to Richard and Bessie Smith. She was one of seven daughters and graduated from Clinton High School in 1967.
On July 20, 1967, she married Stanley Keith Dawson in her hometown. Together, they built a life centered on family, raising two children: Jerrod Keith Dawson (born 1971) and Kerri Leigh Dawson (born 1977).
Linda dedicated many years of service to the United States Post Office before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her nephew, Bobby Dean Bond (2003); her granddaughter, Harper Antonia Scibelli (2009); her nephew, Jason Aaron Kolb (2012); her brothers-in-law, Kevin Udell Franklin (2016) & Bob Bond; and her sister, Patricia Ann Kolb (2021).
She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Stanley; her son, Jerrod Keith Dawson and his wife, Ronda, of Plano, Texas; her daughter, Kerri Leigh Dawson of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Parker Keith Dawson, Ava Brooke Dawson, Taylor Reese Dawson, Sutton Harper Scibelli, and Fisher Harrison Scibelli; and her sisters, Glenda Herrman of Michigan, Carol Ritchey of Oklahoma City, Lue Franklin & Sue Bond both of Weatherford, OK, and Connie Smith of Oklahoma City.
We love her dearly and will miss her immensely. Because of her deep hope and trust in Jesus, we take comfort in knowing she is where she longed to be: “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” — Luke 23:43
