Obituary

Linda Sue Haynes was born in Oklahoma City,the 16th of July 1943 to Vincent and Rita (Sendelbach) Forgue . She was raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1961 and went on to school to be a dental assistant which she did for several years in Oklahoma and Southern California.

Linda was a fitness enthusiast, embracing rhythmic aerobics and becoming a certified instructor and teaching classes to others in Oklahoma City for many years in the 1980s. She was also a secretary for as many years, retiring in 2013 with her husband of 30 years, Terry Haynes, to first Texas, and then finally back to Arizona where they had both lived together previously.

Linda loved and enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally with her husband Terry and she enjoyed hosting holiday dinners with their combined families, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was an avid pet lover and she and Terry both open their home to many loved furry friends over the years. Her gardens were always tended with love and the results of her green thumb were amazing to see.

Linda was proceeded in death by her parents, two daughters Vanessa Wells, and Sharla Swinehart, her husband Terry Haynes, stepson Trent Haynes, and her sister Lori Neel.

She passed on from this life the 6th of April In Arizona. Those who knew Linda will mourn her loss in their lives. 

Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Vondel L Smith & Son North Chapel, 13125 N MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73142. Burial will be at 12:00 P.M. after the service at Heritage Burial Park, 4000 SW 119th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73173
