IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda Kay
Rodriguez
August 31, 1952 – December 21, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Kay Rodriguez, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully at home on December 21, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was 72 years old.
Linda was born on August 31, 1952 in Oklahoma City to Oscar Oliver Ross and Lanetta Gayle Morgan. From a young age, she exhibited a warm spirit and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1970, where she chased her high school sweetheart Tony.
In 1971, Linda married the love of her life, Tony Rodriguez. They were blessed to have 57 wonderful years together and built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, adventures, and countless memories. Linda was a dedicated wife and an extraordinary mother to their three children: Amanda, Lori, and Kori. She poured her heart and soul into her family, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. She did this all while maintaining a career of 34 years at AT&T where she developed life long friendships.
Linda was known for her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her ability to light up any room she entered. She had a talent for making everyone feel special and loved. Her passion for life was evident in everything she did, from organizing family gatherings, to crafting, quilting, cooking, and traveling with family or the Oklahoma Travelers RV Club. She loved making memories and having family together was the most important thing to her.
Linda is survived by her husband, Tony; her children, Amanda, Lori, and Kori; her grandchildren, Kyler, Tai, Drew, Sydney, and Lincoln; her fur baby, Mo-who never left her side; along with numerous family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all of Linda's physicians; most notably Dr. Kimberly Hummer, Dr. Dwayne Schmidt, Dr. Angela Schuff, Dr. Radhika Medipalli, Dr. Jose-Marie El-Amm and especially Dr. Jim Melton with whom Linda shared an incredible bond.
Linda was an honored recipient of a donor kidney that helped continue her life. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations in her memory be made to Lifeshare of Oklahoma.
Though our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort in the countless memories we shared. Linda's love will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us to cherish each moment and to love unconditionally.
