Obituary

Linda Sue (Linville) Miller, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 15, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with a short illness.

Linda was Buiel and Vera (Tidwell) Linville's first child. She was born in Mena, Arkansas, on May 19, 1949, and later moved to Oklahoma City with her parents and younger sister, Connie.

Linda graduated from US Grant High School in Oklahoma City in 1967.

Linda married Kenneth Miller on October 25, 1968. They were married almost 40 years before his passing in 2008.

Linda's life was anchored in her faith and family. In 1977, Ken and Linda joyfully welcomed their daughter, Kdie. Linda loved watching Kdie play sports, achieve her dreams, and flourish as a mother. Linda was quick to celebrate, above all, the character of her daughter and grandchildren. Linda was not just Kdie's momma and her grandkid's mammy but their best friend.

Linda worked for G&R Equipment Company for over 35 years. In 2012, she began working with Oklahoma Baptists in the mail room, serving the State Convention, WatersEdge, Baptist Village Communities, and Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children. Linda developed beautiful friendships and enjoyed getting to know and befriend those in the building as she delivered and picked up the mail. These people became a second family to her; they were those she loved and enjoyed serving.

A true matriarch, Linda prioritized spending time with her loved ones. She was a tremendous cook, gardener, listener, encourager, guide, and advocate. Her most loved grandchildren, Timothy, Matthew, and Katelyn were her greatest joy. She delighted in each of them and their unique gifts. She was endlessly proud of them, listening intently to their dreams and helping them believe they could achieve whatever they put their minds to. Linda's most incredible life memories were the times she shared with her family.

She was a passionate and dedicated fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. At one time, she had season tickets to OU football, men's basketball, women's basketball, and softball. But what made all the OU games so special was how they brought family together during those games. She planned family time with "game food" around the OU games.

Linda's favorite way to serve was cooking and making goodies for others. She always ensured everyone had their favorite dish during family meals with an extra special dash of love. She always had a dessert recipe ready to prepare and share with family and those at work. Her peanut brittle was like none other, and she was already gathering the ingredients for this year's holiday brittle.

Linda was intensely loyal, courageous, hard-working, generous, strong, insightful, attentive, loving, and steadfast in her faith and convictions. She had the gift of truly seeing people for who they are and their unique gifts and talents.

Furthermore, she was a quiet spiritual leader for the family, always pointing people to God's goodness, the power of prayer, and the peace that surpasses all understanding through following Jesus. Linda's incredible legacy will be carried forward in the hearts and minds of those blessed to know and love her.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kdie, and grandchildren Timothy (wife Kylie), Matthew, and Katelyn; sister Connie (husband Chris) Floyd; nephew David Grogan (wife Michelle); and her sweet "Bella". Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Buiel and Vera (Tidwell) Linville, and her husband, Kenneth Miller.

Linda's life could be encapsulated in faith, family, and service.

Most importantly, in 1984, she decided and committed to surrendering her life to Jesus Christ; therefore, today and for all eternity, she is completely whole and free and lives in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
