Obituary

Lookabaugh, "Mama," beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 82. Lois was born on October 14, 1936 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Clarence and Frances Juanita (Pickett) Lehman. Lois graduated from Bartlesville College High in 1954. After high school, Lois went to business college. During that time she worked at Phillips 66 and also hosted Ballroom Dancing Classes. Lois met a special man by the name of Lyle Lookabaugh in December of 1956 while she was teaching a Ballroom Dancing class. He swept her off her feet! Three months later on March 2, 1957, she married Lyle, and together they shared 48 years of marriage. Lois and Lyle were long time members of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. For a few years Lois served as a president of the Auxiliary for volunteers at South Community Hospital. She also served on the Board of Directors at South Community for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. In her spare time you would find Lois painting, playing cards, reading and traveling. Lois will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Frances Juanita (Pickett) Lehman; & husband, Lyle Lookabaugh. She leaves behind her loving family: Daughters, Sharon Lookabaugh and partner Sandra Cleveland; Sandy G. Lookabaugh; Suzy Gammill and husband James; Sons, John Lookabaugh; and Bill Lookabaugh and wife Brenda; Brother, Donald Ray Lehman; 17 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; As well as many other extended family and friends. We want to thank the numerous care givers with hospice, Visiting Angels, Sommerset, Oklahoma Heart Hospital and South Community Hospital for their friendship and care!
