Lois Anna, born July 20th 1922, became a shining star to her parents, Arthur and Cora Scheetz. On January 23rd 1943, Lois married the love of her life, Alfred Spurdens. They would remain happily and lovingly together for over 66 years.
On June 25th 1947, Lois and Al welcomed their daughter Beth Ann into the world. Beth soon captured their hearts where she remains to this day.
On July 17th 1976, Lois and Al welcomed into their family Beth's husband James Poinsett. James still holds a place in Lois' heart today.
Lois was a tireless worker, busy with her Church, the PTA and various school and church activities as their daughter grew up.
Just as her parents before her, Lois was a devout Methodist, and brought Beth up to be the same. Lois was a member of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
Lois was so proud and happy with her family. She loved unconditionally and gave generously of herself no matter what the circumstances.
Lois had a lot of love to give, and she did so with her other extended family, which consisted of Donna DeRemer, Dolores Yannarella, and Dawn Newton. She was like another mother and grandmother to them. She dearly loved them and they accepted her as their own, loved her, and do so to this day.
Lois loved and trusted God and had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was definitely in the very best of hands. Because of this, she cherished each of her earthly days as a blessing.
On June 30th 2009, Lois happily welcomed her great, great, great niece, Sadie Kathryn Wolak, as the latest generation of the Spurdens' family tree.
Lois was a very caring and loving wife, mother, aunt, surrogate mother and grandmother, and friend.
She made her peace with each family member before she would pass to God.
On April 3rd 2009, Lois passed from her earthly life with peace and grace. She always knew she was in God's hands, and when He called, she went happily to abide forever with her Heavenly Father.
Lois is survived by her husband, Alfred, daughter Beth Ann, son-in-law James Poinsett, her extended family, Donna DeRemer and family Dolores Yannarella and family, and Dawn Newton and family. She had many friends, neices and nephews, too numerous to name, but she dearly loved them all.
Lois now rests at peace with her Heavenly Father and her family.
