Obituary

Loraine Beatrice Hudson, fondly known as "Aunt Loraine" by her family and friends, met her Lord and Savior face to face as she entered Heaven on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the age of 101 years old. The daughter of Faye (Spencer) and Elmer Louis Bauman, Loraine was born on April 5, 1924 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Loraine attended Capitol Hill High School. Loraine met a handsome young gentleman by the name of Carl Dean Hudson and the two were quite smitten with each other and became inseparable. Their love grew and the two were united in holy matrimony in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Loraine also worked outside the home for many years. Loraine worked as a bank teller at Wilson Credit Union. There, Loraine served as a vital role in the successes of the business and enjoyed making many lifelong friendships with the staff and customers alike. Loraine's family was the center of her world. Being there for her family was of the utmost importance. She was a very kind, thoughtful and generous woman always seeking to meet and fulfill the needs of others. A devout Christian who committed her life to serving the Lord and others, Loraine was a long time, active and deeply involved member of the Capitol Hill Baptist Church her entire life. Loraine's unwavering and unconditional love for her family and God, especially when it came to being Aunt Loraine, was a legacy we could all hope to personify daily. She also enjoyed many hobbies such as volunteering at Integris Southwest Medical Center, where she served as President of the Volunteers for many years. Loraine was also an avid OU football fan who never missed a game. Horseback riding and travelling the world utilizing her pilot's license was another of her favorite past times that left many lasting and fond memories. At an early age, Loraine accepted the Lord in her heart and strived to live a life honoring and serving the Lord and was always using the many talents and skills the Lord blessed her with to be of service. Her genuineness, generosity and servant's heart was a true testament of God's love and her love for the Lord! She loved and lived life with zest and embraced trials and victories with grace! She made the most of her moments, especially those spent with her nephews and their families. They were the truest joy and center of Loraine's life. The magnitude of positive inspiration and influence that Loraine had on others has helped shape their lives for joy and success.
