Louella "Lou" Newport, 90, went to her Heavenly home September 23, 2023. She was born August 16, 1933 in Oklahoma City the daughter of Roy Evern and Ina Pearl (Coffey) Tharp. On February 21, 1953 she married Bob Newport and together they shared 66 years of marriage and raising their 3 children. Lou was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loving cared for her family and loved making memories with them. In her spare time, she loved to crochet and knit. She would make her own clothing and anyone else who needed it.

She leaves cherished memories with her sons, Danny and Duff; daughter, Sharon; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; as well as many other loved ones and friends.

Viewing will be 12 – 8 PM Sunday and 4-8 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Funeral services are 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 26 at the South Colonial Chapel.

Interment will follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
