Lu was born in Sobol, OK on February 5, 1944 to Ray and Ethel Adams. She graduated from Rattan High School in Rattan, OK. She loved to play basketball and attended OKCC college.

Lu married Bill Fleming on August 25, 1962, and was married for 56 years before Bill passed away April 21, 2019. They have a daughter Pamela Gale, son-in-law Lynn McCaskill of Blanchard, OK and a son, Bryan Keith and daughter-in-law Mindy Hodges Fleming of Broken Arrow, OK.

She was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Cody McCaskill and wife Heather of Noble, OK, Parker Fleming and wife Julie of Corpus Christi, TX, and Brenna Fleming Hardage and her husband Grant of Broken Arrow, OK. She has two great grandchildren Koby and Kyleigh McCaskill.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newcastle, OK. Lu enjoyed spending time with her family, her Sunday School Class (the Lovely Lilies), traveling, the outdoors, OU Football, time at the yellow cabin on Lake Texoma, and arts and crafts.

Lu retired after 50 years of working in the accounting field for Hart Industrial Supply, Westinghouse Corp., TOTCO (Technical Oilfield Tooling Co), United Design Corp, WeatherNews, and Barnum & Clinton Law Office.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, mother, Ethel, dad, Ray, brother Alfred and sister Loretta. She is survived by two sisters and one brother in law, Melva Buchanan of Fort Towson, and Shirley and Lawrence Hobbs of Bowie, Texas.
