In lieu of flowers Lucy requested donations to Lottie Moon Fund c/o First Baptist Church of Moore, Global Harvest Missions Ministry or Ukraine Ministries of Oklahoma. Lucy Mae Austin went to be with her heavenly father March 25, 2015. Lucy was born August 29, 1924 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Benjamin Franklin Smith and Ella Grace Smith. What Lucy valued most was her relationship with God, her family, her church and her work. Her faith was built on Bible study and prayer…Ps 103:1-5. She loved teaching God's word whether to children, young adults or her adult Sunday School Class, "Lucy's Ladies" at First Baptist Church of Moore. She was raised in a Christian home and with her husband, T.L., established a loving, Christian home of their own. Lucy loved the churches she served during her lifetime. Through the years she developed relationships with many church friends and pastors. Her love and trust in God inspired her to live by her motto: Trust In God And Push Ahead, TIGAPA. Throughout her life she became an inspiration to everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her husband, T. L. Austin, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Chancellor and husband Harry; grandchildren Kent Chancellor and wife Terri, Bart Chancellor and Kara Kersey and husband Kevin; great grandchildren, Kylie, Colin and Emma; son Aron Austin and wife Jan; grandchildren Scott Austin; Heather Davis and husband Brad; Lauren Williams and husband Sloane; great grandchildren Weston, Leo and Heidi; numerous nieces and nephews.
