Luther Wade Hildebrand, 72, entered into eternal rest at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Luther was born December 26, 1942 in Chattanooga, TN and moved to western Oklahoma at the age of 4. Luther graduated from Delhi High School, Delhi, Oklahoma in 1960. Luther married Sharon Leigh Wolfe, June 18, 1962 and graduated from Central State University, Edmond, OK in 1965. He went to work as a Bank Examiner in Dodge City, KS in 1965, moving to Emporia, KS for 5 years then to Derby, KS for 3 years, back to Dodge City, KS for 5 years and then to Oklahoma City in 1981. He retired from FDIC in August of 1998 as a Senior Bank Examiner. Luther was preceded in death by his parents, James Frederick (Fred) & Nellie Edna (Mosby) Hildebrand. A wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who was loved by all, is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home, 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle and Michele Hildebrand of Bristol, CT., Devin and Dawn Hildebrand of Newcastle, OK and Dirk and Elizabeth Hildebrand of Tuttle, OK; Nine grandchildren, Christian, Caleb, Cody and Caitlin of Bristol, CT., Jessi, Austin and Taylor of Newcastle, OK., and Kyleigh and Jackson of Tuttle, OK; one brother, James (Jim) Hildebrand of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Ann Maddoux of Arlington, TX; one brother in law, Michael (Mike) Wolfe of Lexington, OK; 5 nieces; 2 nephews; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
