Obituary

Lyndie passed away peacefully in his home in Oklahoma City, June 14, 2019. Lyndie was born on February 5, 1928 in Gage Oklahoma, to Raymond and Ada Branstetter. He earned a degree from Oklahoma State University. Lyndie had many jobs in his youth including Short order cook and TV repairman. He also helped at the family grocery store and on the family farm. Lyndie honorably served two years in the U.S. Army on active duty. He went on to teach electronics for FAA. He worked both at home and abroad, as he took a position that took he and his family to Kandahar, Afghanistan for two years. He retired from FAA after 30 years of service. In his spare time, Lyndie enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He had a passion for woodworking and made many pieces for his family that will last for decades. Lyndie was also a brother of the Hinton Masonic Lodge for 63 years. Lyndie was a fine Christian man that loved his family. He was quick with a joke and delighted in pulling pranks whenever he could. He was preceded in death by his: Wife of 36 years, Vivian; Parents, Raymond and Ada Branstetter; Siblings, Raymond Jr., Virginia, and Fred; He is survived by his: Daughter, Rhonda Branstetter; Grandson, Mark Coughran; Granddaughter, Jessica Smith and her husband Robbie; Great Granddaughters, Ada and Abbey; Great Grandson Reign; As well as many nephews, nieces, and extended family.
