Viewing and visitation will be Sunday August 1, 2021 from 12-8PM with family greeting friends from 1-3 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday August 3, 2021 at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes.
Malcolm Lamar Davis, 76, left this world on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 to be reunited in Heaven with his wife of 56 years, Donna Jane and son, Ross Davis. He was born on January 30, 1945 in Oklahoma City to his parents, Orin Jack Davis and Jewell (Rollins) Davis. After graduating from U.S. Grant High school, Malcolm married his one true love, Donna Jane Brown in 1964. They were blessed with two sons, Ross L. and Scott E. Davis. The two provided a loving home to their two boys while successfully running their linen and dry-cleaning business Magic Services & Scott Cleaners. Malcolm's true passion was raising and riding American Quarter Horses with their home life becoming a successful business Davis Ranch. He was as highly coveted team roper winning multiple world & reserve world championships with his highest accolade, winning the 2003 Reno Rodeo $100,000.00 invitational. Malcolm was also a member of the AQHA, NRHA, USTRC. Malcom recently recognized Jesus as his Savior with a memorable evening April 15th 2021 with his Baptism, he worshiped at Tri-City Cowboy County Church.
He will be truly missed by all the lives he touched. Malcolm was preceded in death by his parents, Orin Jack Davis and Jewell (Rollins) Davis; his son, Ross Davis; wife, Donna Jane Davis. Surviving son Scott Davis & partner Christopher Johnson, son Jason Parker bonus son Justin McKeel wife Sheri & son Cooper McKeel, his sister Oleta Curry Bracken, bonus daughter Lori Reddick, cousins Gary and Tami Minor and special friend Agnes Wade Well, as well as many nieces, nephews, other cousins & friends.
