Obituary

Juanita Boyington
October 21, 1922 – May 25, 2011

Heaven is one angel richer. Margaret Juanita Little Boyington went home to be with Jesus on May 25, 2011. Juanita was born October 21, 1922 in Braggs, OK to Charles and Frances Little. She was the oldest of six children. She moved to Oklahoma City with her family in 1928, where she attended Oklahoma City public schools. At age 18, she started work at Southwestern Bell Telephone, where she worked for three years until her marriage to Carroll Boyington. After her marriage, she was a homemaker and mother to her only child, Larry.

Family was the most important thing to Juanita; she spent her life taking care of her family. As a child, she was a helper to her parents. She took care of her five younger siblings as well as being a mentor, guide and role model to them. As an adult, she dedicated her life to her husband, son and daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. God richly blessed Juanita, and she in turn blessed those in her life. She consistently gave to her church, and was very generous with her family and friends. As much as she could, she made sure that those close to her were not in need of anything.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Carroll Boyington; her parents Charles and Frances Little; her siblings Donald Little, Billy Little, Charles Little, and Joyce Little Mitchell; and her daughter-in-law Maxine Hart Boyington. She is survived by her son Larry Boyington, granddaughter Julie Boyington, sister and brother-in-law Alline Little Haenssler and Werner Haenssler, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ezra Mitchell and Janice Little Mitchell, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Vondel L. Smith Mortuary North Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Vondel Smith Mortuary North. In lieu of flowers, Juanita requested that donations be sent to Calvary Church of the Nazarene at 3100 N. Rockwell, Bethany, OK.
