Margaret "Pauline" Buchanan passed away peacefully July 26, 2010, after a full and blessed life. She was born November 4, 1927 in Chandler, Oklahoma to William and Pearl Lee. After graduating from Chandler High School, Pauline attended Bethany Peniel College (now Southern Nazarene University) and graduated with a degree in education. She taught elementary school for Moore Public Schools and completed her master's degree in music at the University of Oklahoma. Pauline married Jack Buchanan on December 1, 1957, and together they owned and operated Buchanan Food Marts in south Oklahoma City. They were married for 49 years. Pauline leaves behind a legacy of good friends and good works. She was a long-time faithful and generous member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, served as member and president of the church board and volunteered in the church office. For many years, she enjoyed the friendship of the ladies of the Ranchwood Garden Club, with whom she regularly dined, shopped, and celebrated birthdays. She was a talented painter, a gifted musician, and an accomplished seamstress and quilter. Pauline loved to travel and to entertain. She loved beautiful things and took great pleasure in sharing her passion with others. Her family was her most precious treasure and she looked for every opportunity to get them all together for a good meal and some fun times. She will be greatly missed.

Pauline was preceded in death by:
• Her parents;
• Husband, Jack;
• One brother, Clarence Lee;
• And two sisters, Bessie Grose and Gladys Waller.

She is survived by:
• Two sons, Steve Buchanan and wife, Cathy of Oklahoma City, and John Buchanan and wife, Carol Beth of Midlothian, Virginia;
• She was "Memaw" to four wonderful grandchildren: Kristin Buchanan, Katie Buchanan, Maggie Buchanan and Matthew Buchanan.
