Margaret Buckley, known as "mom", "grandma", "g'ma" and "great grandma" to her family, passed away on Sunday, June 21, at the age of 96.

Margaret was born in Sayre, Oklahoma, to Hubert and Tina May Johnson. She grew up on a farm north of Sayre and attended schools in Doxey, Berlin, and later Sayre Junior College.

In 1954, she married Jack Buckley. They were married for 40 years before his death.

Margaret demonstrated her writing abilities as editor of “Sparks and Flashes” for the local electric cooperative where she worked in the early 1950’s. Throughout her life, she wrote many letters and poems for birthdays and special occasions for family and friends.

She volunteered through her church and at local hospitals and was always willing to help her neighbors. She enjoyed feeding and identifying birds, researching family history, and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; four infant children; her brother; and her sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Koehn and husband David of Edmond, Nancy Dunn and husband Randy of Edmond; grandsons Justin Dunn and wife Mackenzie of Mounds, Garett Dunn and wife Jenny of Parsippany, New Jersey, and Joshua Koehn and wife Annie of Houston, Texas; and six great-grandchildren.

Services are to be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Vondel L Smith & Son North Colonial Chapel, 13125 N MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73142 with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 8701 Northwest Expy, Oklahoma City, OK 73162
