Pinix, Margaret Jane, 86, passed peacefully in Oklahoma City on October 7, 2009. Margaret was born February 13, 1923, in Pleasant Valley Oklahoma. She graduated from Enid High School and later attended classes at Oklahoma State University. As a member of the United States Navy Margaret served her country during World War II and was honorably discharged as Yeoman First Class. Margaret married VJ Pinix in 1947 and together they raised their two children Karen and Steve. She was a member of the Northwest Christian Church congregation for years and was active on the church board and in CWF. Margaret cherished playing canasta with a life long group of friends, gardening, caring for her family and pets, feeding the birds from her patio, reading and working crossword puzzles. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Roark, son Steve and his wife Melissa, two grandchildren Jessica Paul (Kevin) and Matthew Pinix (Beth Silverstein) and great granddaughters Evelyn and Cora Paul. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Mercy Hospice (4401 W. Memorial Rd. Ste. 143 OKC, OK 73134). The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5-7:00PM. Services will be 10:00AM Saturday Oct. 10, 2009 at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel.
