Heaven has a new angel. Marisa McNulty passed away May 17, 2021, following an extended illness. Marisa met and married her husband Gerald in her native Spain. They and their two children lived and later moved to the U.S, where she proudly became a citizen.

A devout Catholic, Marisa, was sustained by her strong faith throughout her life. An active member of parishes in Spain and the U.S. she served as a Eucharistic Minister at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, where she enjoyed participating in bible study, the Classics and bunco among other activities. Marisa enjoyed traveling to her native Spain, countries throughout Europe and Africa, Mexico and across the United States. Always gracious Marisa also enjoyed gardening, art, music and time spent with family, dear friends and pets including her dog Chico.

Marisa was predeceased by her father, mother and beloved husband of 56 years, Gerald. She is survived by her daughter Helen Pitts, son-in-law Joe, and grandson Hunter; son Gerald, daughter-in-law Betty, granddaughter Madison, and step-grandchildren Jessica, Dustin and Michael; and multiple great-grandchildren. She is additionally survived by her sisters Raquel Sobrado, Sister Lydia Sobrado, MD, Blanca Sobrado and brother-in-law Roberto Breton, sister-in-law Caril Guilliams, nieces, nephews and their families.

A celebration of life and vigil will be 6 pm, Monday, May 24 at Vondel L Smith Mortuary-North Colonial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 11 am, Tuesday, May 25, at The Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church. The family extends thanks to the physicians, nurses and staff at Mercy Hospital who cared for Marisa during her final days. Gifts in her memory may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.
