Marilyn Jean Collier passed away on July 28, 2026, at home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Watonga, Oklahoma on July 27, 1940 to Meredith “DOC” Baldwin and Alma Grace Baldwin.   

Marilyn was a beloved daughter, wife, mom, sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend to so many people. She was the preacher’s wife to so many people across Oklahoma and Texas. Her Heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marilyn was a beloved wife to her high school sweetheart Wesley Dean Collier. They were together until the end. They shared 66 years of love and life. She had three sons she cherished like no other. Her joy was in her grandchildren for whom she was always ready and willing to be there for them.

In high school Marilyn was active in dance and cheer. Her senior year was voted most popular girl. She was both an FFA and wrestling Queen.

Marilyn throughout her life was always working. She was always able to find a job at a bank where she was very successful. Later she would work for the State Capitol from which she retired several years ago. She didn’t really like being retired. Of course, the most successful job she had was preacher’s wife. Every Church they ministered at fell in love with her. She was the perfect preacher’s wife. She, for sure, completed the ministry.

Those closest to Marilyn remember her love of family, her laugh and the warmth she brought to a room.  She was a devoted friend and confidant, always willing to go the extra mile to help those around her. Her hobbies were being there for her family, traveling with Linda and Neal, loved playing games especially Yahtzee, and even sports especially any with OU(Steve), OSU(Mike) and Dallas (Rodney).   

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Wesley Collier of Oklahoma City, her son Mike and Josie Collier of Auburn, CA, Rodney and Yolonda Collier of Yukon, her grandchildren Hunter Collier of Yukon, OK, Summer Collier of Yukon, Mauro Valdovinos of Auburn, CA and Vivian Valdovinos of Auburn, CA. Her many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-Law Linda and Neal Chambers, Silvia Baldwin. Dawn Baldwin. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and both brothers and also her son Steve.
