Marilyn Sue Kelly went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2012, with her daughter by her side. She was born January 8, 1940 to Oscar and Maude Stansbury. On August 18, 1966, she married the love of her life, Clay Kelly, with whom she shared more than 36 years before his passing in March of 2003. Together they worked in the grocery business throughout Oklahoma. She was a devoted wife, loyal friend, and the best mother in the world. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and close friends, and was happiest when accompanied by Reagan, her beloved maltese dog. Marilyn had a big heart, a zest for life, and an infectious laugh. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her exuberance will forever fill their hearts with joy. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Tammy Lea Allen; husband, Clay Kelly; brother, John Stansbury; and sister-in-law Zedna Kelly Foshee, and husband Leon. She leaves cherished memories with her daughter, Conni Allen of Chevy Chase, Maryland; brother, Jim Stansbury and wife, Sherry of Phoenix, Arizona; and many loving friends. The family wishes to thank the physicians, nurses, and staff at Georgetown University Hospital's Lombardi Cancer Center, Washington, DC, for their care and compassion. Services to celebrate Marilyn's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012, at the Vondel Smith South Colonial Chapel in Oklahoma City, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Family suggestions for donations in her memory include the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation and Oklahoma City University.
