Obituary

Marilyn Ann Womack, 90, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Monday, June 3, 2024.

Marilyn was born in Lindsay, Oklahoma September 4, 1933 to Marshall and Agnes Dragoo. She was raised in Lindsay and Purcell along with her sisters Loraine, Shirley, Joyce, and brother Alton. Marilyn attended Purcell High School and unbeknownst to many, she played basketball on the school team.

She met the love of her life in 1949, Iman Womack, and the two married in Purcell on October 14, 1950. They were blessed with three children Dexter, Deborah and Dale. Marilyn absolutely adored her family and always made sure their needs were met. She was a wonderful homemaker, caretaker and had a servant's heart.

Marilyn and her husband Iman were longtime members at South Lindsay Baptist Church. They both were involved with the Young at Heart church group and Marilyn helped out with the Jolly Elders senior program as well. She was very active with mobile meals and enjoyed preparing meals for church dinners and funeral meals. She was often available to catch the phones when the staff was going to be out. Marilyn just loved to help others and was always finding ways to be useful. Marilyn did not have hobbies, she had family. Aside from her relationship with God, that was all she needed to be fulfilled.

Marilyn will be deeply missed by her family but her kind spirit and selflessness will never be forgotten.
