Marion Ruth Fox McCracken died peacefully on October 31, 2009. Marion or Aunt Ruth as she was sometimes called lived in Oklahoma for all of her 90 years. But her favorite names were Grandmother and Mema by her 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Marion was married to the love of her life, Lawrence McCracken, for 67 years. After graduating from Capitol Hill High School she attended Draughon's Business College. During the war years she was a secretary in the insurance business and later a secretary in several Oklahoma City Public Schools. Her greatest achievement was providing a wonderful, loving home for Lawrence and their two daughters, Linda Knight and Diane Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clema Ellen Fox and Marshall Haywood Fox, husband Lawrence McCracken and her sister Gladys Samek. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Knight and husband Wade, Diane Mueller and husband David. Grandchildren, Scott Knight, Marc Knight and wife Kristin, Brian Knight and wife Kelli, Bradley Mueller and wife Danielle, Jon Eric Mueller and wife Katie, Michelle Mueller Phillips and husband Brad. Great Grandchildren Malorie and Brooklin Knight, Harrison Knight, Madeline and Macy Mueller, Austen Mueller, and Sutton Phillips and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1:30 Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Capitol Hill United Methodist, the church in which Marion and Lawrence were raised and married. Visitation will be from 5-7 Wednesday, Nov. 4th, 2009 at Vondel Smith North. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Capitol Hill United Methodist Church.
