Marjorie L. Thomason Boggs
January 15, 1940 ~ April 22, 2024
Marjorie L. Thomason Boggs, a resident of Lillian, Alabama for the past 22 years, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024 in Pensacola, Florida at the age of 84. One of twelve children born to Margaret and Wesley Thomason, Marjorie was born on January 15, 1940 in Oakland, California. On March 26, 1958, Marjorie married the love of her life, William "Earl" Boggs and together shared 66 years of marriage. This union of marriage was blessed with two children, William Dale Boggs and Christy Annette Boggs. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Marjorie also owned and operated her own business, Marjorie's Tax Service, which she successfully own for 15 years while living in Oklahoma City. At the request of her husband, Earl, Marjorie did not work outside the home until her children were old enough to care for themselves. After Earl retired from working, he and Marjorie could be found pulling a travel trailer to just about every state in the US, enjoying the time together, seeing God's beautiful creations and making many friends along the way. Marjorie truly had a zest for life and made sure she lived each day to its fullest. With her outgoing personality, Marjorie embraced life and people with exuberance. She enjoyed many activities such as bowling, fishing, and going to the casinos, even though she never really bet that much. Most of all, Marjorie loved her entire family. She loved spending time with her brothers, sisters, children and most of those adorable grandchildren. Although we will miss having her presence here on earth beside us, we rejoice in knowing she is reunited with her beloved daughter, Christy and will be waiting to be reunited with us again someday. She was loved wholeheartedly and she will continue to live on in our hearts each day.
