HANSEN Marsha Lee, of Moore, OK, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23 at First United Methodist Church in Moore. Mrs. Hansen was born on July 4, 1941, at Borger, Texas, to Herman Richard and Bessie Madeline Moss Bruns. She married William Frank Hansen at Borger, Texas on Oct. 5, 1963. Mrs. Hansen graduated from Northwest Texas University School of Nursing in 1962. She received her Oklahoma registered nursing license in 1966. Her nursing career included employment with multiple physicians and hospitals in Texas and Oklahoma. Mrs. Hansen received her bachelor's degree in nursing education in 1981 and her master's degree in 1983, both from the University of Oklahoma. While working as a corporate nurse from Kerr-McGee Corporation in Oklahoma City, Mrs. Hansen completed her occupational health nursing certification. She was an active volunteer during the 1980s with the Boy Scouts of America Troop 291 in Moore, Okla. Mrs. Hansen was a recipient of the Boy Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award for distinguished service, and the mother of four Eagle Scout recipients. She served as an associate member of the Master Gardener Association with the Cleveland County Cooperative Extension Center in Norman, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Dawna Hansen of Luther, Okla., Chris and Shellie Hansen of Stillwater, Okla., Tim and Michelle Hansen of Moore, Okla., and Matt and Leah Hansen of Norman, Okla; seven grandsons; and one granddaughter. Arrangements are under the direction of Vondel L. Smith & Son. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. Floral deliveries should be sent to First united Methodist of Moore.
