He was born December 21, 1954 to Expedito Torres Contreras and Maria Socorro Torres in Peregrina de Arriba in Mexico. He married Maria Espinosa Gonzalez and had 4 daughters. He immigrated to the United States in 1980 and made Piedmont, Oklahoma his home for 21 years. Later, he moved to Sterling and remarried to Margarita Galaviz. He worked as a dairy farmer and enjoyed working on cars. As the patriarch of his family, he helped others fulfill their American dream by helping them immigrate to the United States. He was preceded in death by his father Expedito Torres Contreras, his 3 siblings Guadalupe, Antonio, and Rojelia, as well as his niece and nephew, Luzi and David. Surviving family include: his mother Maria, his wife Margarita, his children, Marisol, Graciela, Susan, Ana Alisia, Arely, and Eder, as well as 9 siblings, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
