Obituary

Mary was born in Sweetwater, TX the daughter of JD and Dollie Logan. After graduating from Newman High School in Sweetwater, Mary attended secretarial school in Ft. Worth, Texas.

A friend set her up on a blind date with Sherwood Clark who would turn out to be the love of her life. Six months later she and Sherwood united in marriage and they enjoyed 53 years together. She left Sweetwater as a military wife and traveled the world. She loved being a mom to her 2 children Steven & Lisa. She chose to be a stay at home mom until both kids were well into grade school. She started working for the food school service so she could see her kids off in the morning and when they returned home in the afternoon. She also had the same holiday schedule. The family was transferred to Germany for 3 years where they were able to travel and see many different countries. Ever the advocate for kids she volunteered to tutor reading for those who needed extra help.

In her extra time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing making many blankets, afghans, pot holders and sweaters. She enjoyed gardening especially after having the opportunity to grow new kinds of plants while living in Germany. Returning from Europe she went back to school earning an associate degree in secretarial science. She worked as a medical transcriptionist until her retirement. Just as she was a get in the floor and play mom, she was also a get in the floor to play Oma - we don't say Grandma! She was a fierce defender and lover of her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents JD and Dollie Logan.

She is survived by her husband Sherwood Clark; her children, Steven Clark and his wife Deborah and her daughter Lisa Clark; her brother Gary Logan and his wife Sheila; and her grandchildren, Cameran and Patricia Clark. She is also survived by her niece, Crystal Marshall; her nephew Clinton Logan and their families.
