June 19, 1943 ~ April 4, 2012 Mary Ellen Craig passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the age of 68. She was born June 19, 1943 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents, J.T. and Lorene Mae (Clampitt) Ayers. On Oct. 28, 1961, Mary Ellen married her high school sweetheart, Joe Francis Craig. She worked as a secretary for the OKC Public School System for many years. Mary loved her family and church. Love of family and friends was everything to her. She was the past president of the Lockspur Garden Club, a past Red Hatter and an antique aficionado. Mary is with the Lord now, watching over each and everyone she left behind. She was preceded in death by her: Parents, J.T. Ayers and Lorene Mae Ayers; Brother, Jimmy Travis Ayers; Grandparents: Orville Clampitt, Laura Clampitt, and Mildred Ayers. Mary is survived by her: Husband of more than 50 years, Joe Craig; Daughter, Debra Jo Taylor and her husband, Tommy Taylor; Daughter, Donna Elaine Chumley and her husband, Larry "Sonny" Chumley; Granddaughter, Ashley Morgan Taylor-McKee; Grandson, Sgt. Adam Craig Taylor, U.S. Army; Grandson, Joel Dalton Chumley; Great grandchildren: Broedyn McKee and Braycian McKee; Mary and Joe's two godchildren: Randall Gene McCoy and Paul Lee McCoy; Numerous aunts, uncles, and nieces which included a set of triplets; And countless friends.
