January 6, 1953 – July 10, 2025
Susie Dodson 72 loving wife, sister, momma, Gaga, Great Gaga, Aunt and special friend; went to be with her Lord on July 10th, 2025. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband, family, and friends. Susie was born January 6th, 1953 in San Francisco, California to Mae Smith. When she was 6 years old her mom married Marx the man who soon became her dad. Later her and her family moved to Oklahoma City where she met the love of her life Donnie Dodson. They were married on January 13th, 1968 and they were married for 57 wonderful years.
She was a faithful member of Triumph Family Worship since 1974 where she was the Secretary for Pastor Kenneth Stafford till he retired in 2004. Then became the Secretary for Pastor LaDonna Grissom till Susie retired in December of 2024. She faithfully served that role for 45 years. At different times Susie has volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, Children's church teacher, and was the coordinator for all church and funeral dinners, and she was known for being a real stickler on the chairs matching. She will be greatly missed by her church family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Marx Dodson and Mae Smith, Mother in law Carolee Fann, Father in law Kelcy Dodson, Brother in Laws Gary Lynn Dodson, Bruce Dodson, Jerry Dodson, and Vernie Martin, Sister in Laws JoAnn Martin, Gayle Dodson, JoAnn Dodson, and Rita Dodson and Nephews Skip Austin and Jonas Dodson Great Niece Amanda Triplett, and Great Nephew Cody Cantrell
She is survived by her husband Donnie Mack of the home, Her children Tina Prine and husband John of OKC, Donnie Marx and wife Janna of OKC, Paul Dodson and wife Jenny of OKC, Wendy Donohue and husband Aaron of OKC, Grandchildren Justin, Savannah, Abi, Thomas, Abreona, Carson, and Chacoby, and Great Grandchildren Brantley, Rylee, Jaxon, and Carolee. Brother Frederick Davies, Brother in Law Danny Dodson, Sister in Laws Yvonne Dodson and Connie Dodson. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Adopted Granddaughter Sarah Duenas and her family. Special Friends Ladonna Grissom, Karen VanMeter, Patsy Alexander and LeAnna Tiger. A Special Thank You to the staff at Medical Park West for taking such great care of mom, especially Yvette Williams.
