On July 29, 2022, Mary Theresa Duggan passed away peacefully at the age of 88 surrounded by loved ones.
Mary was born to Joseph Gregoire and Mary Gallant (Young) on September 11, 1933 in Fall River, Massachusetts. She graduated from Hollywood High School and her many adventures took her coast to coast and every state in between. Mary was blessed with 5 children before settling down in Oklahoma with the love of her life, Walter Curtis Duggan.
Mary was a wonderful baker and often made delicious treats with her grandkids. She was especially known for her deviled eggs and would often drop off several batches to her family during the holidays. She enjoyed spending time with her church family, creating arts and crafts, and decorating for every holiday. Mary always had a fantastic story to tell. Did you know she went to school with Carol Burnett, danced with Fred Astaire, was on a professional roller derby team, and ziplined across a river at the age of 80? She also gave the best dog massages around. Most importantly, Mary never hesitated to give her love, laughter and forgiveness freely.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Young, her husband, Curtis Duggan, her daughter, Michele Atchley and grandson Joseph Windle. Mary is survived by daughters, Mary Windle and Rena Kiser; sons, Scott Weddendorf and wife, Barbara, Gary Duggan and wife, Cathy, Michael Weddendorf and John Weddendorf. Mary was the proud grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the church Benevolence Fund or Salvation Army.
