Obituary

Mary Louise (Marcotte) Gray (MeMe) 69, of Piedmont, OK went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2011. She was born July 7, 1942 to Hassie E McClure & Joseph C Marcotte of Oklahoma City. She went to school at Mt. Saint Mary's and graduated nursing school at St. Anthony's School of Nursing in 1963. She was a Registered Nurse for 36 years, before retiring in 1998 from Mercy Hospital. She also volunteered at the Crown and Cross Mission for many years.
She had her arms and her heart open to everyone she met. She was always doing for others. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, canning, making jewelry, writing children's Indian stories as well as loving drawing art.
She is survived by her son Brian Gray & wife Debbie; daughter Angela Gray Johnson, and grandchildren, Nathaniel, Danielle & Keith Gray; Sam & Molly Johnson, 6 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Jean Freeman & Newt, Dixie Menees & Bill, Theresa Freeman & Bud and Lillian Martin. Brothers, Henry Marcotte & Jere, Charles Marcotte & Raymond Marcotte. She is preceded in death by her husband George Patrick Gray and her sister Linda Kane. The Rosary will be held at 6:30 Thursday August 11th at Vondel Smith Mortuary North Colonial Chapel. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday August 12th at St. Monica Catholic Church, 2001 N Western Edmond, OK, with burial to follow at the Kansas Cemetery, Piedmont, Ok. Donations may be made to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association.
