IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Joyce
Sneed
February 19, 1933 – October 4, 2025
Mary Joyce Sneed
February 19, 1933 ~ October 4, 2025
Mary Joyce Sneed passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the age of 92. The daughter of Arthur William and Lona Eileen (Noel) Crossland, Mary was born on February 19, 1933 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Mary grew up in Carnegie, Oklahoma where she attended school. In 1951, Mary graduated from Grandfield High School where she was an active band member and met the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, John Franklin Sneed. The two fell in love and were united in holy matrimony on July 6, 1951. This union of marriage was blessed with a son, Randy and a daughter, Juanette and more than 74 years of making wonderful memories as their family grew. In addition to being a loving and supportive wife and mother, Mary also worked outside of the home for a while as a keypunch operator for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. Mary dedicated her heart to the Lord at a young age and instilled the values of her faith as the families were active members of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene for many decades. There, Mary continued to use her God-given talents, time, and servant's heart to fill the needs of others around her. She truly lived a life full of love and character which exemplified a Proverbs 31 woman. Known for her beautifully skilled crocheting works of art and her genuinely and heartfelt kindness to others, Mary will be remembered for her incredibly welcoming and inviting spirit and all the unconditional love she gave to others. She will truly be missed each and every day.
