Mary went to be with her Lord & Savior, March 1, 2014, at the age of 102. She was born in Strafford, OK on Sept. 28, 1911 to William & Elizabeth Phillips. She was the youngest of 10 siblings and lived to be the oldest. She married Alva Skaggs in 1928 and to that union was born 4 children, Kenny, Dorothy, Laura and Betty.

Her life was not an easy one. She lived through 6 wars, the great depression and the dust bowl. She was a tireless worker, always putting others, before herself. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman, "Her children rise up and call her blessed and her husband praises her."

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, three grandchildren and one step daughter.

She is survived by her children, Kenny Skaggs and wife Norma, Dorothy Martin, Laura Reynolds and Betty Paxton and husband, Clark. One step daughter, Judy Roberts and husband Jackie. Also 17 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 52 great, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She married Charles Wilkerson in 1958, and they celebrated 55 years of wedded bliss. Her life was devoted to serving God, her family and others. She gave of herself, never asking for anything in return. She was the spiritual matriarch of her family, a constant Christian example, an intercessory prayer warrior for all. Her prayers touched heaven and people's lives were changed forever. She loved her church and served it faithfully as a children's teacher, a song leader, an alter counselor and outreach & care leader. Along with her husband Charles, they did hospital ministry for OKC Faith Church for many years, until their health failed them.

She was a homemaker and a pastry cook at Crooked Oak school. After her marriage to Charles, they managed apts. in the OKC area for many years.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt & friend. Life on this earth will never be the same without her. She will be greatly missed by all. Her legacy of faith in Christ will be carried on by her family until they see her again in Heaven.
