Matthew Joseph Helsley, fondly known as Matt, Mattie Joe, Uncle Mattie by his friends and family, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 12, 2022, at the age of 42.

The son of Kenny L. Helsley and Sharon (Amerson) (Helsley) Lewis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Matthew was born September 17, 1980 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Matt graduated from Mustang High School in 2000.

Matt started working in lawn care and eventually started his own lawn and landscaping business, Accolade Lawn and Landscape Solutions in 2016.

He loved being outside in nature. He loved going to our lake cabin. Matt loved water sports and spent countless hours perfecting his technique wakeboarding and wake skating.

He liked playing guitar.

Uncle Mattie loved his nieces and had a special bond with them. He loved his family deeply and we will hold our memories of him close to our hearts.

In the last 6 months Matthew had a renewed relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We know he has been reunited with his brother, Daniel, and the others that have gone before him.
