IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Max Dale
Keener
June 2, 1939 – January 28, 2025
Our father and our Hero Max Dale Keener went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City on June 2, 1939 to Frank & Margaret (Mullican) Keener.
He adored his wife Wanene of 65 years, his family and his friends. He will live on forever through his invaluable lesson, great humor and his hard work ethic.
Max moved from Oklahoma City to Lake Eufaula with his precious wife Wanene, after retiring as Vice President of OPUBCO aka the Daily Oklahoman Publishing Company.
The last 20 years he loved to fish, mow his perfect lawn and garden. His favorite days were playing golf with his close friends. Max was a member of the Masons and recently was honored with his 50 year Masonic Award.
Max was preceded in death by his wife Wanene, son Roy Keener; parents Frank and Margaret Keener; Step mother Lillie Mae Keener; Brother Jimmy Keener & Sister Dorinda Ivy & Brother in law Terry Ivy.
He is survived by his loving and adoring family;
Son Dennis Keener and his wife Sandy Keener
Daughter-in- law; Janice Keener;
Brothers Joe Keener and Michael Keener; Sister in law Kathy Keener;
Five Grandchildren Nick Keener, Cody Keener, Chase Keener, Kristin Keener, Dusty Keener & his wife Kym Keener;
Nine Great-grandchildren Cami, Kati, Taylor, Aidan Hannah, Kaylee, Bentley, Emily & Kennedy;
One Great-great- granddaughter Collins, many nieces and nephews and countless friends whose lives he had touched.
Our hearts hurt and he will truly be missed, but our family is at peace knowing he and Wanene are reunited and together working the garden, watching the sunset and he is holding her precious hand for eternity.
