Max Dane Morris gained his angel wings on August 8, 2026. He was surrounded by family and friends as his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ walked hand in hand with him through Heaven’s gates.

Max was born on March 15, 2017, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City to Matthew and Alyson Morris (Willis). Max was happy and curious by nature, often displaying bursts of laughter as an infant and toddler. He radiated joy on a daily basis even with his disdain for sleep. He enjoyed “tummy time” during afternoon days with dad, and loved bedtime stories from mom! His favorite books as a toddler were Goodnight Moon and I’m a Pout Pout Fish.

Max began attending The Schools of St. Andrew’s (SACS) at the age of 2, when he joined the Tiny Turtle class. Max had a love for learning from the beginning and enjoyed his days at school with his friends and teachers. He excelled in most subjects and had a love for Bible class and Chapel! He was often heard loudly proclaiming his faith during Chapel, singing the monthly worship song. Max and his parents are forever grateful for his time at SACS and for the integral role the school played in nurturing and strengthening his faith, helping shape him into the young man of faith he became.

Max lived a life of amazing trips and countless adventures that would make most adults jealous! His parents and him shared their love of Disney with multiple trips to Disney World and Disneyland. Max would say that his favorite vacation would be Finland, where they met Santa Claus and saw the Northern Lights! Hawaii, Costa Rica, Tulum, Mexico, Moab, and Chicago were some other destinations he thoroughly enjoyed. Closer to home he enjoyed playing video games with one set of cousins and spending long weekends at Lake Tenkiller with another set of cousins. He played baseball, flag football, taekwondo, was an excellent swimmer, and was passionate about taking drum lessons! He enjoyed attending OU football and OU basketball games with his family.

Max radiated happiness and joy! He was kind, caring, compassionate, loving, trusting, thoughtful, stubborn at times, and happy! He led by example. He had an impact on so many lives in his short time here on Earth. He was a shining light and cared so deeply for a better world filled with kindness and love, not hate. He is happy that he has found his eternal home in Heaven with Jesus Christ.

Max is survived by his parents, Matthew and Alyson Morris (Willis); grandparents Kenny “Papa” and Donna “Grandma” Morris and Randy “Pops” and Becky “Nana” Willis. Aunts and Uncles Jeff and Sunny Morris and Andrew and Amanda “Gigi” Willis. Uncle “Papa” Steve and Aunt Bana Bogdahn and cousins Blake Bogdahn and Brooke and Quentin Weder. Cousins Olivia, Madeline, Annabelle, and Elijah Morris; and Jax, Mack, Crue, and Bexley Weder. Godparents Sean and Linzi Crawford and God sisters Marli and Vale Crawford. Uncle Ron and Aunt Jill Willis. Aunt Cindy Bogdahn. Numerous other family and friends, teachers and classmates, coaches and teammates, church family and pastors. Lastly, but certainly not least, his two beloved dogs, Breck and Rudy!
