Obituary

McKenzie Hunter Osgood (Moore), age 28, left this life on January 18, 2024. Kenzie was born to Cory and Lisa Moore in Toledo, Ohio on June 28, 1995. She was a curious and observant child, with many passions- Barney, Pooh Bear, Barbie, Britney Spears, Power Puff Girls, Cheetah Girls, the pumpkin patch and apple farm, Hannah Montana, and playing dress up. She loved baking cookies with her Mum Mum and hiding in the fall leaves with Dylan and Scotty. Her energy was spent on jumping on the trampoline, singing, dancing, and traveling. Kenzie was the one that kept her siblings laughing but also was the "mom" of the crew, always keeping them in line. She put every single person in front of herself, even as a child. These amazing qualities became even more evident when she went on to have a child of her own. Kenzie was an especially shy child; she would have to pinch herself while having to take a picture because it made her nervous (We can all agree that she conquered that fear quickly.) She was a Deer Creek Middle School cheerleader and went on to graduate from Deer Creek High School in 2014. During this time, she worked as a hostess and server at Texas RoadHouse.

Cale Shaw and Kenzie welcomed their blue eyed baby boy on August 4, 2016. A year later she reunited with the love of her life, Dylan Osgood and they married on July 24, 2020. Together, they built a wonderful life in Cashion, Oklahoma, where she made their house a home. She produced a small business with her favorite hobby, photography. She inherited her love for animals from her mom and dad. From monkeys, birds, horses, dogs, cats, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, fish, goats, and pigs, she took care of them all. Kenzie enjoyed living in the country, Rzr riding, boating, playing cards and board games, hosting parties, going to concerts, movie and popcorn night with her little family, decorating her home for every holiday (a few months early, of course), creating new traditions with Adrienne, pestering Dylan and spoiling Wade, making TIk Toks, trying new recipes, and capturing each one of these activities in pictures. Most of all, she enjoyed being Wade's mommy. She celebrated every occasion and made every occasion worth celebrating!

Kenzie is survived by her husband Dylan Osgood, son Wade Shaw, father Cory Moore and his wife Linda Robinson, mother Lisa Mathis and her husband Roger Mathis, brothers Dylan Moore and his partner Crystal Highley, and Conner Mathis, sister Kennedy Mathis and her fiance Cale Powers, brothers-in-law Wyatt Osgood and Miller Osgood, sister-in-law Kenzy Osgood, mother and father-in-law Steve Osgood and Shawna Osgood, grandmothers Ann Moore and Jane Cummings, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eugene David Lee and Addie Lee Marie Fowls and her aunt, Debbie Bethel. Kenzie was an exceptional mother to Wade, wife to Dylan, and Aunt Kenzie/Keke to Braelynn, Levi, Clayton, Colton, Lane, Case, Sage, Faye, Delena, Christina, Serenity, Sage and so many more. She found a sisterhood in her closest friends and cousins. She carved a place for herself in all of our hearts. She has made an impact on those who knew her and countless others who will never get that chance. Kenzie will be missed deeply; we can take comfort in knowing we carry her love and lessons with us each day. Kenzie has taught us to love and celebrate big, make everyone feel included and welcomed, and to always, always forgive.

Ephesians 4:32

"And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
