Mehrdad "Mike" Bijan, 49, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior on June 26, 2010. He was born October, 6 1960 to Mohamad Bijan and Effat Artaghi-Bijan in Tehran, Iran. He lived in Iran until moving to London, England with his parents in 1976. Shortly after that he moved to the U.S. to attend OU where he attained his Bachelors degree in Engineering. While working in Duncan, OK Mehrdad met his wife, Carla, in 1983 and they later married in 1985 and moved to Norman. They have been married for nearly 25 years and have two daughters, Jacqueline & Jennifer. He loved to fly airplanes whether they were full sized planes or small scale models and was one test away from having his pilot's license. Mehrdad was an avid snowboarder, enjoyed playing soccer and he was a member with ISA Soccer Club for 17 years. He is preceded in death by his father and one sister Heshmat Bijan. He is survived by his wife, Carla; daughter Jacqueline married to Chris Larocco of Norman; daughter Jennifer Bijan of the home; brothers Iraj Bijan of Norway, Gholam Reza Bijan of Denmark; sisters Fourogh Bijan, Nahid Bijan & Nazanin Bijan all of France; as well as countless nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
