In Loving Memory of Melana Rae Barnes

Melana Rae Barnes, age 79, of Pasadena, California, passed away on October 8, 2024, in Oklahoma City. Born August 25, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee, Melana was a beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Melana worked as a Paralegal for several law firms in Downtown Los Angeles for the majority of her legal career. She was known for her kindness, patience, wit and style. She had a passion for Jesus and was a formative prayer warrior. She loved to travel and collect art, which brought joy to her life and to those around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Ariel Kyle, Jason Kyle, her son-in-law, Jacob Martinez, her grandson, Sofia Kyle, her granddaughter, and countless family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on November 9 at 2:00 pm at Vondel L. Smith & Son on MacArthur Blvd.
