E. 50th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73111 Visitation will be Thursday and Friday from 4-8 PM with the family present at the funeral home to greet friends Friday evening from 6-8 PM. Services will be held 9:00 AM Saturday at Shartel Church of God.11600 S. Western Ave Oklahoma City, OK Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Melba Louise Dobbs entered Heaven's gates on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 85. The daughter of Melvin and Zela (Coffman) Russell, Melba was born February 14, 1932 in Quinton, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school, Melba moved to Oklahoma City. On June 4, 1955, Melba married her sweetheart, Wyman Dobbs in Oklahoma City. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated homemaker, Melba also worked in office administration for various motor freight companies. Melba enjoyed being with her family, friends and serving the Lord most of all. She was a longtime member of Shartel Church of God, where she enjoyed fellowship with the Joyaires and the Oklahoma City Retired Firefighters Association. She will be deeply missed. Melba was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband of 53 years, Wyman Dobbs; Great Grandson, Jordan Dobbs; Brother, Clemmon Doyle Russell; Brother-in-law, Sonny Blevins. She leaves behind her loving: Son, Russell Dobbs and his wife, Kim; Son, Dennis Dobbs and his wife, Barbara; Brother, Charles Russell and his wife, Gail; Brother, Lloyd Russell and his wife, Cindy; Sister, Frances Blevins; Grandson, Ryan Dobbs and his wife, Amanda; Grandson, Jared Dobbs and his wife, Cheri; Granddaughter, Samantha Kemp and her husband, Clay; Grandson, Marshall Dobbs and his wife, Alisha; Granddaughter, Madison Dobbs; 5 Great Grandchildren: Jayden Dobbs, Daniel Zec, Trenten Dobbs, Riley Dobbs, and Drake Dobbs; Lifelong family friend, Larma Bennett; Many other beloved family and friends.
